Global Week of Student Prayer

2016_logo

This Wednesday thousands of students around the country will gather at the flag pole of their high school at 7 a.m. to pray for their schools, family, friends, communities and churches. Commonly called See You At the Pole, it is an opportunity for the students to gather together as they seek the Lord.

Please spend extra time this week praying for our students and especially for the ones who will be brave enough to publicly show their faith by attending this event.

If you can, please stop where you are on Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. and prayerfully lift up these students, their families and your community.

Psalm 24:3-6:

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?

4The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.

5They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Savior.

6Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.

Karen, I thought this event was usually the 1st week of the school year, but I hadn’t heard anything about it this year and the school-affiliated people I asked about it didn’t seem to know anything-even the teachers. Is it really THIS Wednesday? If so, I want to get the word out to several people on my email list that have kids in school.

Yes, it’s this week. I just double checked to make sure!

Here’s the link to the site with all the details (and dates).

http://syatp.com/ If that link doesn’t work you might have to copy and paste it in your search bar.

I haven’t heard much about it this year, either.
